You Don't Have To Rush Into Buying A Home
March 24, 2022
The frenzy of homebuying that arose from sheltering at home during the pandemic rages on. Homes are selling at a rapid rate and the competition sparks bidding wars. Sellers are getting offers at or above asking price. If you’re in the market for a home, don’t let this pressure get to you. You don’t have to rush into buying a resale home—and you shouldn’t!
Buyer’s remorse reigns
The current onslaught of anxious homebuyers is motivated by the low interest rates and the powerful desire to have a home that better suits their needs. These are great reasons, but the shortage of homes to choose from and the heavy competition for them can lead to buyer’s remorse.
A home is quite possibly the largest investment you make in your life. Is that a decision you want to rush into? Will you regret the decision later, when you realize that the home isn’t quite what you wanted, but instead what you believed you could get? Compromise is great for certain situations but the home you live in isn’t one of them. You might find yourself saying, “I can live with this kitchen” or “We’ll just have to deal with the smaller bedrooms.” These comments don’t reflect an excited and satisfied homebuyer.
Start slowly and get what you want
Avoid the frenzy in the Denver housing market. Ensure that you get the home you love by choosing new construction. Your home will be move-in ready, with all the design selections you made. You have the peace of mind of the home warranty so you don’t have to worry about the time, cost, and hassle of repairs and replacement.
Just as important is the fact that when you buy new construction, you can take your time. There is no bidding war to contend with, no pressure to get your offer in right away. Frankly, if you sit down with a builder who puts pressure on you, it’s a sure sign you need to move on!
At Terrace TownHomes, we like our customers to relax and think carefully about this decision. Unlike some national builders who are churning out homes as fast as they can and have sales quotas, we respect the importance of this decision. There’s no pressure to hurry up and sign a contract. We want you to be 100% certain and satisfied when you choose one of our patio townhomes!
Come in and have a private tour of the model home and look at the ways you can personalize it. We are so confident about our townhomes and communities that we’re happy to accept a reservation to hold your choice while you shop other options. Once you sign the contract to purchase, you have a full week to change your mind and cancel it. We find that by giving you the time you need to think about your choice freely, without the heavy-duty push from someone who just wants to make a sale, you’ll feel comfortable and confident when you do choose to buy a Terrace TownHome.
Before you hurriedly scour the home listings and hastily make an offer, take a few minutes to look at our photo gallery and virtual tours of each floor plan. Then talk to one of us at Terrace TownHomes. We can tell you about our new communities—their location and amenities—and offer details about our unique patio townhomes with breathtaking views. While other shoppers are frantically home searching, sit back and relax. We’re ready when you are!
